Surveillance Operations (40 Hours)
This is a physically and mentally demanding five day course. The purpose is to teach the police sniper to plan and operate in a rural environment. Students will learn how to conduct basic reconnaissance and static surveillance and target interdiction in support of larger police operations. The subjects covered are: mission planning, field craft, basic navigation, using terrain to make an approach undetected, stand-off and loop holes, hide site construction, long range observation, sketching and reporting procedures. The course will consist of multiple hands on exams and culminate with a field training exercise that will test the snipers ability to plan, infiltrate, and report information undetected.
