Basic Pistol (8 Hours)
This is an intense one day shooting course designed to maximize range time and teach proven methods quickly. The purpose is to teach law enforcement personnel, both beginning and experienced shooter, safe pistol handling skills and accuracy. There is NO classroom time. All critical tasks are taught on the range and applied immediately by the attending officers. These tasks become second nature through close supervision, immediate feedback, and the continuous repetition of dry fire exercises and shooting drills from 5 to 25 yards. The subjects covered are: fundamentals of pistol marksmanship, loading and unloading procedures, malfunctions, and tactical reloading. The course will culminate with a qualification shooting exam.
Advanced Pistol (8 Hours)
This is an intense one day shooting course designed to maximize range time and teach proven methods quickly. The purpose is to reinforce safe pistol handling skills and accuracy while introducing more challenging situations, positions and drills to include moving and multiple targets. There is NO classroom time. All critical tasks are taught on the range and applied immediately by the attending officers. These tasks become second nature through close supervision, immediate feedback, and the continuous repetition of dry fire exercises and shooting drills from 5 to 25 yards. The subjects covered are: review of basic pistol, weapons retention, multiple target engagements, shooting from covered positions, and moving drills. The course will culminate with a qualifying shooting and moving exam.
