Basic Carbine (8 Hours)
This is an intense one day shooting course that maximizes range time and teaches proven methods quickly. The purpose is to teach law enforcement personnel with little or no experience, safe carbine handling skills and accuracy. There is NO class room time. All critical tasks are taught on the range and applied immediately by the attending Officers. These tasks become second nature through close supervision, immediate feedback, and the continuous repetition of dry fire exercises and shooting drills out to 50 yards. The subjects covered are: fundamentals of rifle marksmanship, loading and unloading procedures, zeroing, stable shooting positions, grouping drills, malfunctions, basic ballistics, shooting with optics versus iron sights, maintaining cleaning and storing the carbine, marksmanship, marksmanship, and marksmanship. The course will culminate with a qualification shooting exam.
Advanced Carbine (8 Hours)
This is an intense one day shooting course that maximizes range time and teaches proven methods quickly. The purpose is to produce a safe and accurate marksman able to engage targets out to 100 yards, shoot from the standing, and shoot and move. There is NO class room time. All critical tasks are taught on the range and applied immediately by the attending Officers. These tasks become second nature through close supervision, immediate feedback, and continuous repetition of drills from 5 to 100 yards. The subjects covered are: advanced rifle marksmanship, loading and unloading procedures, confirm zero, shooting positions, shooting supported and unsupported, marksmanship, marksmanship, and marksmanship. The course will culminate with a qualification shooting exam.
